Proposed Increase of Minimum Wage to 100,000 AMD

The 'Hayastan' faction has introduced a legislative initiative proposing to raise the minimum wage from 68,000 AMD to 100,000 AMD, as reported by armlur.am.

In their justification, the faction states that the prices of several goods have increased, along with an increase in water tariffs, and it is also possible that gas tariffs will rise. Considering these factors, the opposition faction proposes such a significant hike in the minimum wage, emphasizing that the consumer basket amounts to 70,000 AMD.

It is important to note that the government had committed to raising the minimum wage to 85,000 AMD as part of its program.

Currently, it is unclear whether the opposition has taken into account the potential of the state budget when presenting this proposal, or if the project is realistic.
