Shop Employee Takes Defensive Measures Due to Perceived Threat from Azerbaijanis, Including Likely Military Munitions

The Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Artsakh reports that due to an Azerbaijani convoy regularly stopping in front of a shop located at the Agavnoy checkpoint in the Kashatagh region and the shop employee's assumption of a threat from Azerbaijanis, defensive measures were taken around 1 PM today, which included displaying what is believed to be military munitions.

The Artsakh Police responded immediately to the incident and confiscated the alleged military munitions. Investigative and other procedural actions regarding the case are currently being carried out by the police, including an explosion technical examination. Measures are also being taken to uncover and seize other instances of illegal possession of weapons or munitions by individuals present at the location.

No harm has been caused to anyone's life or health as a result of this incident. Relevant information regarding the initiation of criminal proceedings related to the incident will also be communicated to the prosecutor included in the Russian peacekeeping forces in the near future.

The law enforcement agencies of Artsakh consider any provocative or criminal actions in the Artsakh-Azerbaijan contact zones unacceptable and are committed to combating and preventing such phenomena, expecting similar approaches from the Azerbaijani law enforcement agencies.
