«In This Situation, Not Even One Soldier Should Be Sent Abroad, Especially to Kazakhstan»: Gegham Nazaryan
Gegham Nazaryan, a member of the 'Armenia' faction, made a statement on his Facebook page:
“I have encountered numerous questions regarding the stance of the 'Armenia' faction on sending a military group to Kazakhstan. I clearly and unequivocally state that the 'Armenia' faction believes that Armenia should not obstruct the deployment of a CSTO military group to Kazakhstan, but no Armenian serviceman should be sent to that country for very obvious reasons: Kazakhstan had a distinctly pro-Azerbaijani stance during the 44-day war. Kazakhstan congratulated Azerbaijan on November 9. I believe our position is more than clear and straightforward.
I would also add that in this situation, where we have not healed the wounds of war and have not overcome its consequences, we should not send even one soldier abroad, especially to Kazakhstan, where only internal clan issues are being resolved. I repeat, not inter-clan but intra-clan issues,” he writes.
