Major Road Accident in Shirak: 52-Year-Old Georgian Citizen Overturns Truck, Injuries Reported

On January 6, a major road accident took place in the Shirak region. Around 21:30, a 52-year-old Georgian citizen, Goga Abashidze, driving a DAF truck, veered off the roadway and overturned on the first kilometer stretch of the road leading from the Boulevard neighborhood of Gyumri to Severski.

According to reports from the scene by shamshyan.com, the driver was assisted by bystanders who managed to extract him from the vehicle. He was then transported to the Gyumri Medical Center.

Doctors at the medical center provided first aid at the scene before transferring him to the hospital. Firefighters disconnected the vehicle from the power supply and secured the area.

The traffic police's operational management center was informed of the accident by responsible officer Tigran Barskyan, who directed a duty team from the Mush division of the Gyumri Police to the scene.

Witnesses at the scene stated that the truck was loaded with approximately 20 tons of mixed cargo.
