Opel Hits 3 People Before Colliding with Mercedes; 2 of 5 Injured in Serious Condition
On January 4, at 23:53, the National Center for Crisis Management received a call reporting a traffic accident on the section of Khorenatsi Street leading from Sari Tagh in Yerevan. Emergency services informed that a team from the fire and rescue units of the Yerevan Emergency Situations Department and an operational group from the National Center for Crisis Management were dispatched to the scene.
It was determined that an "Opel Vectra B" vehicle struck three citizens near one of the houses on the 5th street of Sari Tagh, and then collided with a "Mercedes C" vehicle. The driver and passenger of the "Opel Vectra B" were transported to "Erebuni" Medical Center by local forces.
Rescuers disconnected the vehicles and shut off the gas valve on the gas cylinders and brought the injured closer to the ambulance. Citizens M. M. (born 1998), G. T. (born 1996), K. Kh. (born 1986), D. A. (born 1997), and M. Gh. (born 1997) were hospitalized at "Erebuni" Medical Center. The medical staff assessed K. Kh. and M. M.'s health conditions as serious, while the others were considered in satisfactory condition.
