A charge has been filed against Volodya Gevorgi Martirosyan for openly abducting his wife, Varduhi Minasian, against her will, using a weapon and threatening her with violence that poses a danger to her life or health, as reported by Armlur.am.
According to the details, Volodya Gevorgi Harutyunyan and Varduhi Andraniki Minasian were in a factual marital relationship and had a dispute over domestic issues. As a result, on June 7, 2021, around 9:00 PM, in the yard of building 3 on Shahamiryan Street in Yerevan, Volodya Harutyunyan met Varduhi Minasian and suggested that they have a conversation inside his operational vehicle. After being refused, he resorted to violence, forcing her against her will into the back seat of the vehicle.
After that, he drove the car to the vicinity of the Yerablur Military Pantheon. To counter Varduhi Minasian’s resistance, he stopped the vehicle, exited the cabin, went to the trunk, and retrieved a rifle. At that moment, V. Minasian attempted to exit the vehicle, but Volodya Harutyunyan approached the rear door and, taking advantage of the open window, held the gun to V. Minasian's head, threatening to kill her if she tried to get out of the car. Thus, he openly abducted her utilizing a threat of violence that poses a danger to her life and health.
The preliminary investigation has been completed in this case.
