Soldier Dies: Ministry of Defense Provides Details

On December 31, 2021, at around 10:50 AM, a conscript soldier from the Armenian Ministry of Defense's military unit located in the Vayots Dzor region was found with a gunshot wound to the head at a combat outpost of the same unit. The soldier, Private Movses Aramayis Tahdevosyan (born 2003), died en route to the hospital.

Following operational measures taken in connection with the incident, a fellow serviceman of the deceased soldier has been arrested on suspicion of committing the crime. An investigation is underway to fully clarify the circumstances of the incident.
