A Fellow Soldier Arrested for Inflicting Fatal Gunshot Wound on a Conscription Soldier

The Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia has revealed the circumstances surrounding the death of conscription soldier, Private Movses Tadevosyan.

According to preliminary information, on December 31, 2021, around 10:50 AM, Private Movses Aramayis Tadevosyan sustained a gunshot wound to the right eyebrow at a combat position and died on the way to the hospital.

The investigation has established that Tadevosyan was fatally wounded by a fellow soldier. The latter has been charged under Article 104 (murder) of the RA Criminal Code, and a detention measure has been applied against him. An investigation is ongoing.
