There Are Closed and Impassable Roads
The Ministry of Emergency Situations informs that there are closed and impassable roads within the territory of Armenia.
The road leading from Amberd Fortress to Kharij Lake in the Aragatsotn province is closed. The Vardenyats Pass is impassable for truck trailers due to black ice (it is necessary to use snow chains).
In Shirak province, there is black ice in some areas on the Gyumri-Bavra road, while similar conditions are observed on roads in Syunik province.
Regarding Lars, based on information from the Emergency Management Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and the Crisis Management Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation in North Ossetia, the Stepantsminda-Lars road is open for all types of vehicles. Drivers are advised to travel exclusively with winter tires.
