Mikhail Shvydkoy Played a Key Role in the Meeting of Armenian and Azerbaijani Intellectuals in Moscow
The newspaper "Hraparak" reports that the Azerbaijani delegation that attended the meeting with Armenian intellectuals in Moscow was well-informed about the members of the Armenian delegation. They were aware of the biographies, positions, status, and public activities of all four participants.
During the meeting, they sought to deepen their understanding of who was appointed to the various positions and the nature of their relationships with the current authorities. They inquired why previous participants in similar meetings were not involved in this process, referencing meetings held in 2004, 2006, and 2008.
They stated that they knew criminal cases had been initiated against the former participants and expressed interest in those cases. They did not hide the fact that they were monitoring public reactions in Armenia, particularly the negative sentiments directed toward the Armenian intellectuals for their meeting with Azerbaijani counterparts.
Mikhail Shvydkoy played a significant role during the meeting, ensuring that the conversation remained civil and did not end in unpleasantness. Further details are available in today’s issue of the newspaper.
