Extraordinary Situation in Artsakh: "Hraparak"

"Hraparak" newspaper writes: "An extraordinary situation has developed in Artsakh. The political elite, from the opposition to the government, has rebelled against the leadership of the Republic of Armenia. Will Araik Harutyunyan take this situation to the end, starting a rejection process of Pashinyan from Artsakh, or is the threat against him already neutralized, and the state interest of Artsakh no longer matters?

It is noteworthy that, at his press conference, Pashinyan stated that he inherited a negotiation legacy that prevents him from claiming that Artsakh is Armenian; however, he did not publish any document that would serve as proof of this claim and would not be perceived as his own plan to Azerbaijani Artsakh, which he has attempted to implement over the past year, particularly in recent days.

The matter is that the Prime Minister of Armenia tried to realize a plan for the dismissal of Artsakh President Araik Harutyunyan through Samvel Babayan—first by thwarting the approval of the budget, and then by notifying the president of impeachment. As a result, Artsakh would lose its subjectivity and would no longer be able to elect a president.

However, Araik Harutyunyan learned about this conspiratorial plan, and as a result of consultations with the opposition, managed to prevent the first part of this plan—the budget was approved.

In Artsakh, it is not ruled out that we will soon witness the second phase of this: Babayan will attempt to generate protests against Harutyunyan through certain circles. Incidentally, after the budget project was accepted on December 23, Babayan tried to meet with Harutyunyan, but his proposal was rejected." More details in today’s issue of the newspaper.
