Unknown Individuals Steal Kia Car in Yerevan and Use It to Rob a Store in Abovyan
The Kotayk Division of Police is preparing materials regarding a theft that occurred in the Kotayk region on December 25. At around 02:50 AM that day, the operational management center of the Armenian Police received a call from a resident of one of the buildings on Rosia Street in Abovyan, indicating that a theft had occurred in his store around 01:50 AM.
According to shamshyan.com, an operational group from the Kotayk Division of Police arrived at the specified address. Police discovered that the attackers had entered the store located at 4/12 Rosia Street by opening the entrance door and had stolen a large sum of money from the cash register before fleeing the scene.
Website sources indicate that property damage was also caused to the store, and approximately 250,000 drams were taken from the cash register.
Hours before the robbery, a 40-year-old resident named Tsina D. reported to the operational management center of the Armenian Police that between 10:30 PM and 10:40 PM the same day, her Kia vehicle, which she had parked near 5 Vardanants Street in the Central administrative district, was stolen.
An operational group from the Central Division of Police also arrived at the scene in this case. The Central Police Division is preparing materials regarding this incident as well. The police are taking the necessary operational and investigative measures to identify the thief or thieves who stole the vehicle and to recover the car.
According to information from the police, the store in Abovyan was robbed by the individuals who had stolen Tsina D.'s car.
