Birthday Celebration Turns Violent at ‘Bellagio’ Restaurant Complex; Arrests Made

On December 25, a dispute turned into a brawl with stabbings in Yerevan. Around 00:10, operational information was received at the police station in the Marash district about a conflict occurring at the ‘Bellagio’ restaurant complex on Myasnikyan Avenue.

According to shamshyan.com, officers from the criminal investigation unit of the Marash police station and the central police department responded to the scene and confirmed the validity of the information. Shortly thereafter, several individuals were taken into custody on suspicion of hooliganism, including 23-year-old Vlad A., 26-year-old Vahagn A., 28-year-old Davit A., 54-year-old Mher A., 21-year-old Artyom A., and 35-year-old Zohrab M. from the Ararat region.

According to reports, participants at the birthday celebration at the restaurant complex displayed disrespectful behavior for an extended period, disrupting public order and grossly violating the normal operations of the restaurant. Participants argued, exchanged blows, and hurled insults at each other. Davit A. reportedly brandished a knife and made threats.

All individuals taken to the police station have since been released, and a report has been filed regarding the incident by A. A., the director of the restaurant complex. A criminal investigation is underway by the central police department's investigative division, with a forensic examination ordered and measures being taken to locate the knife involved.
