Aguero Has Renounced Most of His Salary

Argentinian striker Sergio Aguero, who announced his retirement from professional football due to heart problems on December 15, has renounced most of his salary from his two-year contract. This was reported by Sport.es.

Aguero's contract was set to expire in June 2023. Following the revelation of his heart-related issues, he did not demand payments from the club for the 2022/23 season.

He has also agreed to receive only half of his salary for the remaining period of the 2021/22 season. The striker is aware of the club's dire financial situation, and his decision will allow Barcelona to register Dani Alves in La Liga, enabling the Brazilian to participate in the match against Mallorca on January 2.
