Spokesperson Addresses Rumors of Meeting Between Hayk Marutyan and Robert Kocharyan

Officially, I declare that the Mayor of Yerevan, Hayk Marutyan, has not been in any way related to Robert Kocharyan and has never met with him. This was stated by the mayor's press secretary, Hakob Karapetyan, on his Facebook page.

“When the well-known article was published on Sunday, we responded by stating what we usually announce when addressing yellow press gossip: ‘We do not comment.’ However, given that the disinformation presented in the article has been widely exploited these days and we are receiving numerous inquiries from our citizens and the media, we are compelled to give a substantive response: I officially declare that Yerevan Mayor Hayk Marutyan has not been related to Robert Kocharyan in any way and has never met with him. The article also contains many other false claims,” wrote Karapetyan.
