What Did Pashinyan and the President of the European Council Discuss?

During a working visit in Brussels, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan held a private meeting with the President of the European Council, Charles Michel. The Prime Minister expressed gratitude to Charles Michel for his continued efforts to address the issues arising from the 44-day war.

The interlocutors discussed the upcoming tripartite meeting scheduled for today between Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, President Charles Michel, and President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan, emphasizing the importance of continuing and strengthening dialogue.

Both parties expressed hope for effective negotiations, which would contribute to stability and a comprehensive resolution of issues.

Pashinyan and Michel also addressed the agenda of the sixth Eastern Partnership summit to be held in Brussels on December 15, discussing the relevant topics on the table.

They highlighted the development of Armenia-EU cooperation within the Eastern Partnership framework and the effective implementation of programs aimed at advancing institutional reforms and strengthening democracy in Armenia.

Both sides emphasized the importance of the reforms initiated in Armenia over the past three years and the steps taken by the Armenian government in that direction. In this regard, the President of the European Council stressed the EU's readiness to deepen and expand cooperation in implementing the priorities of the Armenian government.

The Prime Minister and Charles Michel also discussed the developments taking place in the South Caucasus.
