VIDEO: Drug Trafficking Cases Discovered in Yerevan; Group of Individuals Arrested
As a result of extensive operational-investigative activities, officers of the Criminal Police’s Drug Trafficking Prevention Unit obtained information regarding two men, aged 34 and 35, residing in Yerevan, who were involved in the sale of various narcotic substances.
This was reported by the Police of the Republic of Armenia. On December 7, officers from the main department, in cooperation with the Criminal Investigation Division of the Yerevan Police, the Central Division and the special escort unit, conducted operations in different neighborhoods of the capital and initially located individuals suspected of acquiring drugs from the aforementioned men. During searches, various quantities of methamphetamine were discovered. Some of those apprehended were arrested.
On the same night, the two men, aged 34 and 35, were located and taken into custody. During the search of the younger one, heroin was found, while the older one was found in possession of methamphetamine.
Within the framework of the initiated criminal case, a search was conducted on December 10 at the 34-year-old man's rented apartment on Saryan Street. Various quantities of hashish, methamphetamine, marijuana, a gas pistol, among others, were found. Expert examinations have been appointed. Both men, aged 34 and 35, have been arrested. The investigation is ongoing.
