Seyran Ohanyan on the News of Haik Marutyan's Meeting with Robert Kocharyan

The mayor of Yerevan, Haik Marutyan, and I have met several times before he assumed office, and we have also met in recent years, but none of this can serve as a basis for me to mediate a meeting with the second president of Armenia, Robert Kocharyan. This was stated today, December 13, in an interview with NEWS.am by Seyran Ohanyan, the leader of the 'Armenia' faction.

“Arthur Aleksanyan, whose name is spelled incorrectly, is not a general; he is a colonel, and he is my combat companion. Such a thing did not happen. I think they are spreading this information deliberately, considering the mentioned relations between Haik Marutyan and the authorities,” Ohanyan noted.

It should be noted that 'Haykakan Zhamanak' reported that Haik Marutyan submitted a request to leave the 'Civil Contract' party and sever his ties with the members of the ruling force after the end of the war. According to 'Haykakan Zhamanak', there are also rumors circulating that after the end of the war, Haik Marutyan met with Robert Kocharyan with Seyran Ohanyan's mediation.
