SPORT. Today the first Armenian athlete Rafik Harutyunyan will compete at the World Weightlifting Championship

The World Weightlifting Championship has kicked off in the capital of Uzbekistan, Tashkent, on December 7. Today, the first of our athletes will enter the arena.

In the 81 kg weight category, Rafik Harutyunyan will compete. Harutyunyan’s preliminary total is set at 360 kg. The competitions in this weight category will begin at 18:00 Yerevan time.

It should be noted that aside from Harutyunyan, Armenia will also be represented at the World Championship by Andranik Karapetyan, Davit Hovhannisyan, Hakob Mkrtchyan, Tatev Hakobyan, Samvel Gasparyan, Arsen Martirosyan, Varazdat Lalayan, Gort Minasayan, and Simon Martirosyan.
