Boxer Artem Dalakyan Successfully Defends WBA Title for the 5th Time

The boxing match for the lightweight championship title took place at the ACCO International Arena in Kyiv between the undefeated Ukrainian champion Artem Dalakyan (21-0, 15 knockouts) and Panamanian Luis Concepcion (39-9, 28 knockouts). Dalakyan forced Concepcion's team to stop the fight in the 9th round, successfully defending his title.

This marked Dalakyan's return to the ring for the first time in nearly two years, and he immediately showcased confident boxing. In the 5th round, Dalakyan knocked Concepcion down twice; however, Concepcion continued to fight. Eventually, in the 9th round, the team of the WBA interim champion requested the referee to stop the match.

Dalakyan was able to defend his championship title for the 5th time. He won the championship belt after defeating American Bryan Viloria on February 24, 2018.
