Iraq Evacuates Thousands of Migrants from Polish-Belarusian Border

Iraqi authorities have evacuated more than 3,500 migrants from the Polish-Belarusian border area. This was announced on Sunday by Ahmed al-Sahhaf, spokesperson for the Iraqi Foreign Ministry.
“So far, the ministry has managed to organize nine evacuation flights from Minsk,” Iraqi INA news agency quoted al-Sahhaf as saying.
Al-Sahhaf also added that a total of 3,556 migrants have voluntarily returned to their homeland through these flights from the border between Belarus and Poland.
