Video: Police Detain Protesters at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs

In front of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, where members of the "Liberation Movement" are holding a protest, tensions escalated at one point. Police, using force, detained protest participant Vahagn Chakhalyan from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs building.

The police initially urged the participants to leave the Ministry, warning that they would be detained if they refused. As the protesters did not comply, the police forcibly removed them from the building.

“This has become a standard practice. There are specific rules for protests; if someone is obstructing the normal operation of something, the order is to approach the organizer of the gathering and demand that they eliminate the obstruction. After that, they must announce twice through a loudspeaker before removing that person, not just detaining them,” said Ara Zohrabyan, the organizer of the protest, to reporters.

Ultimately, police began detaining participants, including Vahagn Chakhalyan and Nairi Hohikyan.

It should be noted that members of the "Liberation Movement" were protesting inside the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. They announced that the government has adopted a policy of leaving Artsakh within Azerbaijan and are demanding an official response from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
