Car Accident in Yerevan: Mercedes and Gazelle Collide, One Injured

On December 10, a car accident occurred in Yerevan. Around 20:30, at the intersection of Galshoyan and Tevosyan streets, near the bridge, a gas-powered microbus of the Gazelle brand, driven by Rafael Tadevosyan, collided with a Mercedes vehicle operated by Misha Khatoian.

According to Shamshyan.com, as a result of the accident, one person was taken to the number 1 university hospital. Emergency responders from the Ministry of Emergency Situations' rescue service arrived promptly at the scene with a firefighting crew.

The firefighters disconnected the power from the vehicles, while the gas cylinders of the Gazelle microbus were torn from the vehicle, causing a gas leak. The firefighters also managed to stop the leak.

Investigations are underway regarding the incident. According to site reports, both drivers underwent sobriety tests, and the Mercedes driver was found to be under the influence. The accident was discovered by the police because, after the collision, individuals attempted to remove the Mercedes from the scene, but were unsuccessful. As locals say, the police “caught them red-handed.”
