Mysterious Incident in Shirak Province: 28-Year-Old Arrested on Suspicion of 40-Year-Old Man's Death

On December 7, an extraordinary incident occurred in Shirak Province. Around 4:00 PM, a call was received at the Mush police department from an ambulance station, reporting that a medical team had responded to a call in one of the apartments in building three of the Mush 2 neighborhood, where they found the body of its resident, 40-year-old Hratchya H.

Upon arrival at the scene, police were informed by doctors that Hratchya H. had died suddenly. According to the preliminary conclusion of the forensic expert, external examination of the body revealed a bruise and scratches around his left eye, which a close acquaintance stated were injuries sustained days before his death due to a fall.

According to G. Shamshyan's information, extensive operational investigative measures conducted by the criminal investigation department of the police of Shirak Province and the criminal investigation division of the Mush police department revealed that the night of December 5, in the apartment of A. Gh., a resident of Gyumri, an altercation occurred between Hratchya H. and his acquaintance, 28-year-old Vachagan M., while Hratchya was in an intoxicated state. During the confrontation, Vachagan M. struck Hratchya H. with punches, causing bodily harm.

In the following days, Hratchya's health significantly deteriorated, and on December 7, he was unable to get up, walk, or move from a lying position, and subsequently died. The preliminary conclusion of the forensic expert suggests that death was caused by injuries sustained to the head.

On December 8, a criminal case was initiated at the Mush police department under Article 112, Part 2, Clause 14 of the Armenian Criminal Code, and within that framework, on December 9, Vachagan M. was arrested as the suspect.
