Yerevan Patrol Officers Discover Stolen Vehicle with Fake License Plates; Driver Flees

On December 8, at approximately 04:00, officers from the 1st platoon of the 4th battalion of the Yerevan patrol service noticed a Lada Priora vehicle on Khorenatsi Street, in the area known as “Metaks” by the locals.

According to shamshyan.com, the officers approached the vehicle for inspection and moved it to a secure area managed by the Yerevan patrol service. Upon arrival, they discovered that the license plates did not belong to the vehicle. While the officers were documenting the incident, the driver fled the scene.

After identifying the rightful owner of the license plates, the officers contacted him via phone, and he reported that the plates were indeed his and had been stolen from a Ford Transit vehicle.

As per the site’s information, materials are being prepared in connection with this incident at the investigative department of the Erebuni police station. According to reports from the photoreporter, the fleeing driver is identified as 22-year-old Garik M. The police are taking necessary measures to locate him.
