VIDEO: There Are Many Questions I Would Like to Raise, But for Various Reasons I Cannot from This Podium - Prime Minister

Why is the issue of the return of the two villages of Hadrut, Khndzoresk and Hin Tagher, not becoming a matter of agenda today? This question was directed to Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan by MP Tigran Abrahamyan from the ‘Honorary’ parliamentary group, who added that these two villages were under Armenian control as of November 9.

“Almost a year ago, Azerbaijani troops occupied two villages in the Hadrut region, resulting in about a dozen casualties and 62 people captured,” the MP noted.

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan remarked that nine soldiers stood their ground until the end in Hin Tagher and sacrificed their lives for the homeland.

“Regarding the episode you mentioned, a criminal case has been initiated concerning it. The fact is that one of the key defendants in the case has still not been able to be detained because the courts have rejected the request for detention,” Pashinyan stated.

Tigran Abrahamyan asked whether the government accepts that Azerbaijani actions took place outside of the November 9 trilateral declaration. Nikol Pashinyan noted that if they considered that the occupation of Khndzoresk and Hin Tagher corresponds to the November 9 declaration, then the heroes he mentioned would not have been standing in those positions.

“If they were standing in those positions, it means we believe that this situation did not correspond to the provisions and logic of the November 9 declaration. There are many questions I would like to raise, but for various reasons I cannot raise them from this podium. There is absolutely no problem in lowering the subject as much as possible, because I fear that this subject pertains to many high-ranking officials, whose actions I do not wish to cover up,” said Nikol Pashinyan.
