Coffees Invited by Civil Contract Members: What Vardevanyan Says About the Dispute in Parliament
In the National Assembly, aides and experts of the "Armenia" parliamentary faction had a certain debate with two members of the "Civil Contract" faction around 2:30 PM, said Aram Vardevanyan, a member of the "Armenia" faction, discussing the altercation that took place in the National Assembly.
"It seems that it was settled on the spot; they shook hands and moved on. There was no dispute there," Vardevanyan said, noting that the mentioned parliamentarians were Hrachya Hakobyan and Sisak Gabrielyan.
Shortly thereafter, according to the parliamentarian, their colleague Sevak was invited for a coffee. "This information is preliminary, and the inviter seems to be from Rubinyan's team. They also invite Gerasim; saying, 'Come, we want to treat you to coffee.' Taron joins the guys. There is naturally no coffee because this is about a previously planned action. After inviting the three, around 20 people invade, among them several members of parliament, and start hitting the boys. What do we name this?" Vardevanyan described.
He did not mention the names of the parliamentarians but stated that the same individuals who had acted in a hooligan manner in the National Assembly chamber a few months ago had exhibited the same level of activity today.
"It's not that they were able to beat them. But when you notice bodily harm, just imagine how many came. The sad thing is that this incident occurred in the presence of security representatives," the parliamentarian said. He added that the boys have bodily injuries.
