Kremlin on Putin-Biden Meeting

Russian President Vladimir Putin reminded his American counterpart Joe Biden that it is NATO that is attempting to appropriate Ukraine and stated that responsibility for the intra-Ukrainian crisis should not be placed on Russia, reports Armenpress.

The leaders held a two-hour video conference on Tuesday, December 7. In response, Vladimir Putin emphasized that responsibility should not fall on Russia, as it is NATO that is making dangerous attempts to appropriate Ukrainian territory and is increasing military capacity near our borders, according to a statement from the Kremlin's press service.

President Putin highlighted that his country expects reliable, legally binding guarantees that exclude the alliance’s expansion eastward. The leaders agreed to instruct their representatives to begin work on this issue. Earlier, Radio Sputnik reported that there is fear in the U.S. regarding the restoration of the Soviet Union, as reported by RIA Novosti.
