Why Tuy Pressured the Former MP's Sons: The Causes of the Kanaker Killings Revealed

According to information received by Armlur.am, the Investigative Committee of Armenia has already disclosed the hypothesis behind the murder of criminal authority Tuy from Kanaker, Arthur Ghazaryan, and former MP 61-year-old Artush Simonyan, shedding light on why gunshots were fired and four people were killed.

The entire law enforcement system is astonished by how a trivial issue led to such a tragic outcome and the fate of four individuals being ruined. The preliminary investigation body holds clear data explaining the reason the gunshots rang out.

One of the sons of former MP Artush Simonyan revealed to his father that Tuy and his team were consistently unsettling him, making his life difficult. As a result, Artush Simonyan summoned the criminal authority Tuy to his private residence to understand the situation involving his sons and to address the confrontations he has faced from Tuy.

On the former MP's invitation, Tuy went to Artush Simonyan's house. They initially decided to sit in a tent to talk; however, due to heavy snowfall, they could not sit there. After this, they convinced Arthur Ghazaryan to stay for the conversation; he was hesitant to remain, but they eventually reached the vehicles when gunshots were heard.

Nonetheless, according to information obtained by the newspaper 'Zhoghovurd', the slain MP’s sons have thus far refused to provide testimony. Moreover, it has been clarified that the testimonies of one of the key witnesses in the criminal case are crucial to understanding the issues between the criminal authority and the sons of the MP, which tragically concluded with four fatalities. This key witness is also refusing to testify to the law enforcement agencies, presumably going 'underworld'.

It is noteworthy that on November 11, gunshots were heard in one of the private houses in Kanaker, resulting in the deaths of four individuals, while three others were hospitalized with various injuries. Among the deceased were the criminal authority Tuy from Kanaker, Arthur Ghazaryan, and former MP 61-year-old Artush Simonyan. The injured include the slain former MP's son, Vladimir Simonyan.

Interestingly, the shots were fired right in the former MP’s house. It should be noted that Artush Simonyan was elected an MP in 2003 from the Kanaker-Zeytun administrative district in a majoritarian manner. Additionally, five individuals have been arrested in connection with the case, four of whom are the sons of the slain MP.
