What Caused the Parliamentary Brawl? Which MPs Are at the Center of the Incident?
ArmLur.am reported that representatives of the 'Civil Contract' faction called the youth from the Armenian Revolutionary Federation, who are aides to the MPs, to Vice Speaker Ruben Rubinyan's office to 'settle scores,' which led to a brawl.
According to ArmLur.am's sources, the conflict began after the young individuals did not respond to a greeting from 'Civil Contract' faction MP Hrachya Hakobyan. The 'Armenia' alliance informed us that among the participants in the brawl were ruling faction MPs Hrachya Hakobyan, Vahagn Aleksanyan, Sisak Gabrielyan, and possibly others.
The members of the 'Civil Contract' faction, along with their aides, numbered around 30 and attacked three aides of the 'Armenia' faction MPs. We also learned that MP Armenuhi Kyureghyan's aide Taron Ghazaryan suffered an eye injury.
