Khachik Grigoryan Returns from Captivity: What He Told Nairi Hokhikyan
Khachik Grigoryan has recently returned from captivity. He was taken by the enemy near Berdzor in November 2020. He had gone to receive weapons but lacked any backing for safety and ended up captive. He fought until the end, but surrounded and unarmed, he had no choice but to surrender or be killed.
This information was shared by journalist Nairi Hokhikyan on his Facebook page. ‘The former captive, who has gone through unbearable tortures, arrived yesterday in Republic Square to stand beside the parents of other captives. The captive came, while those living in comfort did not show up. Today, the relatives of captives and missing persons are not only neglected by the state, but also the captives themselves, those who have returned from captivity,’ he stated.
‘Khachik is overlooked, and no one cares about his health or what means of living this young man has. And we consider that we are defending those who were captured for the homeland. Why celebrate the return of captives if these people are left to the whims of fate? It is beyond doubt that the officials of Pashinyan's regime are unpatriotic. But who among us is? Look in the mirror one by one and ask yourselves: what are you living for, what values do you hold?’
