Prosecutor's Office Investigates Reports of Today's Brawl in Parliament
The Republic of Armenia's Prosecutor's Office is examining reports related to today's brawl in the National Assembly. This was announced to 'Factinfo' by the Office of the Prosecutor General.
As previously reported, a tense incident occurred earlier in the Parliament's offices, involving assistants of ruling party lawmakers and opposition lawmakers. The assistant to Ishkhan Saghatelyan stated that the incident took place in the office of Deputy Speaker Ruben Rubinyan. According to eyewitnesses, assistants of Armenuhy Kuryan and Gagik Vardanyan were also present at the scene, as well as ruling party lawmakers Hratchya Hakobyan, Sisak Gabrielyan, and Vahagn Aleksanyan.
As a result of the brawl, three assistants of opposition lawmakers sustained injuries. The media outlet contacted the Republic of Armenia's Prosecutor's Office, and in response to the query, it was reported that the publications regarding the incident have been registered, and an investigation has been initiated to determine further procedural steps.
