Romanos Petrosyan, Minister of Environment and member of the ruling Civil Contract Party, wrote on his Facebook page: “Dear all, since the preliminary results of the local self-government elections in the enlarged community of Abovyan show a picture where the distribution of 27 council mandates is critically determined by the accuracy of ONE mandate, and after analyzing all the current and summarized information received through our trustees from various polling stations, we have decided that the Civil Contract Party will contest the summarized results in 25 major polling stations out of approximately 41 in the 29th electoral district, and we will submit applications for a recount.”
