Turkey Changes Its International Name
Turkey's President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has signed a decree to change the country’s export brand to "Türkiye," which has been published in the government’s official newspaper, Resmi Gazete. According to Anadolu, all products exported abroad will have to bear this version of the country's name: Made in Türkiye.
The text of the decree states that the decision to change the brand reflects the rich culture and heritage of the country and aims to establish the Turkish producer as a reliable supplier of quality products. Additionally, the term Türkiye will be used in official documents instead of Turkey, Turkei, or Turquie.
