If the Opposition is United, Only Sad Reminders Will Remain from Nikol: Zakaryan
Since the capitulators have already politicized the community elections and turned the community councils into party "assemblies", there is hardly any difference between national and community elections. This was stated by former Deputy Minister of Defense and member of the Republican Party, Artak Zakaryan, on his Facebook page.
He specifically mentioned: “The results of the community elections on October 17, November 14, and December 5, as well as public sentiments, indicate the following:
- The extraordinary parliamentary elections of June 20, 2021, are politically falsified and the current government and parliamentary majority do not reflect the real picture of public sentiments. A legitimacy crisis of the ruling capitulator regime is beginning.
- The capitulators lack sufficient political capital for further governance. According to the community landscape, the decisions of the ruling Civil Contract party can no longer be heard in the name of the state or the people of Armenia. Any international or domestic decision made by Nikol, any signed document or initiated process is illegitimate and based solely on the force of illegal coercion. He has no right to talk about the "mandate received from the people."
- The active and conscious part of society does not trust, nor does it consider the capitulator and his Civil Contract party as legitimate. Healthy and mature individuals prefer to unite with other political forces and move forward.
- About 65% of society is indifferent and disillusioned with political events. This has led to a crisis of political participation, which in turn signifies weak and disrupted democracy.
- The so-called collective “opposition” is multi-layered and not yet united. If all types of opposition manage to unite, in a week there will be only sad memories left of Nikol.”
