Discussions on Border Demarcation Ongoing: Aghajanyan
Discussions related to the border delimitation and demarcation commission are currently ongoing, and there are no new updates yet. This was stated by Eduard Aghajanyan, the head of the National Assembly's Standing Committee on Foreign Relations, during a conversation with reporters in the National Assembly.
In response to a comment that the absence of a meeting between the Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan is attributed to the visit of the National Assembly delegation to Artsakh, Aghajanyan noted that this is their statement and he does not wish to comment on it.
"At this moment, the processes occurring within the framework of the Foreign Minister's meetings are separate processes, and whether they happen or not is dictated by specific factors," said Aghajanyan.
Regarding the question of what specific issue the Deputy Prime Ministers could not come to an agreement on during their latest meeting, Aghajanyan stated that these meetings are periodic and the co-chairing countries are trying to find mutually acceptable solutions.
"This path is naturally not smooth and straightforward. The most important statement is that this work is ongoing, which is the best proof that all sides are genuinely interested in resolving the issue and finally finding acceptable options," Aghajanyan noted.
