Roads Closed in Armenia Due to Weather Conditions: Ministry of Emergency Situations
The Ministry of Emergency Situations has reported that several roads in Armenia are currently closed due to adverse weather conditions.
The road from the high-altitude meteorological station "Amberd" in Aragatsoni Province to Lake Kari is closed. Due to the risk of landslides, the road from the village of Zovuni to the gorge of Korea is temporarily closed.
There are also areas experiencing ice accumulation on the Vanadzor-Tashir highway, specifically in the Stepanavan bends, as well as on the Vanadzor-Dilijan, Tatev-Kapan, and Artik-Alagyaz roads. In the Amasia region of Shirak Province, icy conditions have been observed in various locations.
Regarding the Lars border crossing, according to information from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and the Crisis Management Center of the Russian Emergencies Ministry in North Ossetia, the Stepantsminda-Lars road is open. Drivers are advised to travel exclusively on winter tires.
