I Was Transported in My Friend's Car, a Toyota Camry, During the Campaign – Aram Khachatryan, Candidate for Mayor

Today is a day of silence, and I will not make any comments on this matter. This was stated by Aram Khachatryan, the candidate for mayor from the ruling Civil Contract party, during a conversation with journalists in Vanadzor on December 5.

He emphasized that they do not intend to form a coalition with the 'Mamikon Aslanyan' alliance. 'Let’s wait and see how the votes will be distributed, and then we will decide,' he said.

The candidate views debates and sharp questions during the campaign as normal. 'What I have declared is confirmed, but I don't want to go into details right now,' he added.

He denied rumors that he used an official vehicle during the campaign. In response to comments about photos of a car with altered license plates, he said, 'I don’t know what car that is. I was transported in my friend’s car, a Toyota Camry.'

Aram Khachatryan also refuted claims that he dismissed the head of the polyclinic because one of the employees liked a post against him. 'No, there is no such thing; I do not know who liked what.'

When asked whether his candidacy for mayor was a decision of the Civil Contract party or if he expressed his desire to leave the position of the regional governor to become the mayor of Vanadzor, he replied, 'We decided together. I take any decision of our team into account and perform it unconditionally.'

The candidate also informed that the issue of the regional governor's candidacy is currently not being discussed within the government.
