Statement by the Ombudsman of Artsakh
The military positions of Azerbaijan near civilian areas pose a direct and undeniable threat to the right to life and the physical and psychological inviolability of the peaceful population of Artsakh. This was stated by the Ombudsman of Artsakh, Gegham Stepanyan, on his Facebook page.
“Today, a 65-year-old resident of Chartar, S.S., got lost and ended up in an area controlled by the Azerbaijani armed forces. The citizen was engaged in livestock farming. According to confirmed information, the Azerbaijanis have killed the peaceful resident of Artsakh. This murder is a manifestation of Azerbaijan's criminal and terrorist actions, as well as a policy of large-scale and systematic persecution against Armenians,” wrote Stepanyan.
