Pastries Containing Substance Resembling Drugs Found in Prison
On December 2, around 5:30 PM, officers of the Armenian Ministry of Justice's Armavir Penitentiary Institution, acting on operational information, inspected a parcel brought by inmate H.A. in the reception area of the institution. Among the pastries, three were found to contain packages wrapped in polyethylene bags, weighing a total of 29.78 grams.
According to the reports from the prison authority, the inspection resulted in the discovery of white crystalline substances resembling methamphetamine, weighing 1.46 grams, and a pungent greenish mass resembling marijuana, weighing 1.86 grams.
Materials regarding the incident are being prepared, and a forensic chemical examination has been ordered.
