I Refuse to Consider Lion Characters as Disabled – Ohanyan

Former Minister of Defense of Armenia and member of the 'Armenia' faction Seyran Ohanyan wrote on his Facebook page:

“December 3 is the International Day of Persons with Disabilities. I have always refused to consider those lion-like characters as disabled, whose physical perfection, although impaired, have continued to challenge trials, compete and triumph, and when necessary, stand on the front lines with weapons in hand, fighting in the fiercest spots of combat in defense of the Motherland.

And as long as the struggle is the driving force in their lives, they will be the luminous force that teaches how to perceive the meaning and beauty of life anew. I sincerely congratulate the athletes of the Armenian Federation of Sports for the Disabled on all their victories, with the firm belief that their indomitable spirit and strength of will will achieve new heights, raising the Armenian tricolor in victory.

I express my solidarity with all persons with disabilities, wishing them health and resilience, and true happiness.”
