Azerbaijan Captures Citizen of Artsakh, Russian Peacekeepers Negotiating

The National Security Service of the Republic of Artsakh is taking measures to return a citizen who has fallen under the control of Azerbaijani armed forces due to getting lost.

“Today, around 1:00 PM, the National Security Service of Artsakh was informed about the unknown disappearance of a resident born in 1956, S.S., from the town of Chartar in the Martuni region. Based on the alert, it was determined that this citizen of the Republic of Artsakh had accidentally entered a territory controlled by the armed forces of the Republic of Azerbaijan and was taken captive by them. The incident was immediately reported to the Russian peacekeepers. Currently, negotiations are underway to return S.S. to the Armenian side,” stated a release from the Artsakh NSS.
