There Can Be No Discussion in Terms of Corridor Logic, Says National Security Secretary
The issue of corridor logic continues to remain on our agenda, and there can be no discussion in that regard. This was stated by the Secretary of the National Security Council of Armenia, Armen Grigoryan, in an interview with Azatutyun.
“We are ready for unblocking, ready to discuss the restoration of the infrastructure that existed during the Soviet Union, as well as the routes that could be opened, meaning the route that Azerbaijan will provide us to use its territory to connect with other countries, as well as the route by which Azerbaijan will also have the opportunity to establish connections with Nakhichevan,” he said.
According to Grigoryan, a consensus has not yet been achieved, and work will continue. A follow-up meeting is planned in the near future, and details will be shared with the public if there are clearer results and progress.
“In general, Armenia has not and will not discuss any issues in terms of corridor logic. In this regard, we continue to insist that our discussions should remain within the frameworks of the statements of November 9, January 11, and November 26, where there is no mention of a corridor and there cannot be,” said the Secretary of the National Security Council.
He added that Azerbaijan has not been able to demonstrate the political will necessary to advance the agreements reached in Sochi.
