Woman Visits Norayr Mirzoyan Who Threw Explosive Device at Azerbaijanis

The Artsakh Investigative Committee has not provided any information regarding Norayr Mirzoyan, who threw an explosive device at Azerbaijani servicemen at a checkpoint in Shushi on November 13.

“The preliminary investigation is ongoing, and due to the confidentiality of the investigation, we cannot say anything,” said Nanar Poghosyan, advisor to the head of the Artsakh Investigative Committee, in an interview with 24News.

Poghosyan noted that, for Mirzoyan's safety, no additional information can be provided.

In a conversation with the media, Mirzoyan's wife, Susan, stated that she had visited her husband in the hospital. “He has some health issues and is receiving treatment. He is under stress and cannot talk,” concluded Mrs. Susan.

It should be recalled that on November 13, Norayr Mirzoyan threw an explosive substance at Azerbaijani military personnel at a checkpoint in Shushi, resulting in injuries to three servicemen, according to the Azerbaijani side. Shortly after the incident, the Stepanakert-Shushi-Berdzor interstate road was temporarily closed. According to a statement from the Artsakh National Security Service that day, information was received about an unknown individual throwing an explosive device at the checkpoint in response to provocative actions by Azerbaijani servicemen in the morning on the Stepanakert-Berdzor interstate road, near the Shushi checkpoint. Shortly after the incident, Mirzoyan was handed over to Russian peacekeepers and then transferred to Artsakh law enforcement agencies.
