The '5165 Movement' Issues a Statement
The '5165 Movement' has issued a statement regarding the reply received from the Prime Minister's office to the written request submitted to the government of Armenia.
On November 22, members of the '5165 Movement' along with a group of citizens submitted a written request to the government demanding the public disclosure of the content of the document referenced by Nikol Pashinyan, which pertains to the demarcation and delimitation between the Republic of Armenia and Azerbaijan. In our request, we expressed our concerns about the document, specifically regarding the potential ceding of vital territories, strategic communications, and heights to the enemy, as well as the recognition of Artsakh as part of Azerbaijan.
On November 23, during a live broadcast, Nikol Pashinyan stated that the document he mentioned relates solely to the establishment of a commission dealing with demarcation and delimitation issues. We have repeatedly clarified that our demand is not related to the mere fact of forming a commission but rather to the maps, principles, and acceptable and unacceptable concessions (red lines) that underlie its work. It is beyond doubt that Nikol Pashinyan understood all of this. He undoubtedly knew that our demand pertains to the mechanisms of demarcation and delimitation, which will be clarified by the end of the year, according to the statement made by Russian President Vladimir Putin during the trilateral meeting in Sochi on November 26.
On November 29, we received a letter from the Prime Minister's office stating that the document referenced in our request to the government does not exist and that Nikol Pashinyan had indicated this during his interview broadcasted by Public Television on November 23. Such a response is yet another proof that: 1. Despite fully knowing the content of the people's just demand, Nikol Pashinyan does not inform the people about the whole truth related to demarcation and delimitation, what to expect regarding the Artsakh issue and the border territories of the Republic of Armenia, even though he had previously promised to address the public. 2. Once again, the real agreements reached behind his back are being concealed from the public. 3. Nikol Pashinyan unacceptably makes unilateral decisions on crucial national issues without involving other branches of power in this process and effectively usurps all power.
