«Soldiers in Uniform Going Live from Home» - Edmon Marukyan

Edmon Marukyan, the leader of the Bright Armenia party, posted: “The strongest fighters are the humblest. Since the last war, I have been continuously meeting our heroic boys who participated in the war. They are mostly extremely humble and quiet people, but when you ask them, you discover that each of them has destroyed several enemy tanks, drones, and other equipment, and has killed dozens of enemy soldiers among other heroics, yet they remain so modest and restrained.

Entering the parallel reality of social networks, I increasingly see boys in military uniforms going live from their homes, mostly unshaven, saying things like, ‘Listen to what I’m saying,’ ‘We won’t allow this,’ ‘We will do it this way, we will do it that way…’ and other similar expressions. It is actually unclear who these people are, what contribution they have made to the previous war or in the army's construction, what they won’t allow, and why they won’t allow it. If there were indeed things that they should not allow, so much has already been allowed that one doesn’t know what to think…

Please be a bit restrained and show respect for the military uniform. Either take off the uniform and store it somewhere at home, or if you are wearing it, then you should be fulfilling a task as part of a relevant unit, rather than going live from your couch at home. This behavior is unacceptable; such actions only negatively impact the respect and perception of military uniforms in society, devaluing both the uniform and the person wearing it. Wearing a uniform should not inspire the desire to go live, but rather evoke reverence for its significance and for those who have worn it with honor, both on the part of the wearer and the viewers.”
