Robert Suqiasyan, Brother of Khachatur Suqiasyan, Released on Bail for Second Time
The brother of parliamentary deputy and businessman Khachatur Suqiasyan, Robert Suqiasyan, has been released on bail for the second time, with the bail set at 55 million dram.
The Yerevan General Jurisdiction Court, under the presidency of Judge Karen Farkhoyan, has addressed the issue of Suqiasyan's detention at the request of his defense attorney. This information was confirmed to "Fastinfo" by the court.
It should be noted that during the preliminary investigation, Robert Suqiasyan was initially subjected to detention as a measure of restraint, which was later altered by Judge Vache Margaryan to allow for bail at 50 million dram.
The prosecution appealed the decision to release Suqiasyan on bail, but prior to the examination of the appeal, the preliminary investigation was completed, and the case was forwarded to court. While preparing for trial, Judge Karen Farkhoyan reviewed Suqiasyan's detention status and decided to keep the previously ordered bail unchanged.
Following Judge Farkhoyan's decision, the Court of Appeals reviewed the prosecution's appeal against the decision to release Suqiasyan on bail during the preliminary investigation and granted it, resulting in a decision to detain Suqiasyan once again. His attorney subsequently filed a request with the first-instance court to convene a meeting to discuss changing Suqiasyan's measure of restraint.
As a result, the court examined Suqiasyan's measure of restraint and decided to once again apply bail, this time at the amount of 55 million dram. For the other two individuals involved, a signature was imposed to prevent their departure.
