Man Dressed as Ninja Attacks Police with Katana in France, Injuries Reported

A man dressed in a ninja outfit attacked police officers with a katana in France, injuring two female officers. According to local media reports, the incident occurred in Cherbourg-en-Cotentin.

The police attempted to detain the man for stealing a vehicle when he struck. The suspect sustained a serious gunshot wound from a third officer after he exited the car and began attacking law enforcement with the Japanese sword. Both the assailant and the injured officers are currently hospitalized.
