Tractor Driver Charged for Hitting 6-Year-Old Girl

The preliminary investigation into the case of a tractor driver hitting a six-year-old girl has been completed at the Syunik regional investigative department of the Investigative Committee of Armenia. This was reported by the Investigative Committee.

The investigation revealed and established that a resident of Syunik did not have the appropriate permission and driver's license to operate mechanical vehicles. On September 16, 2021, while reversing the tractor, which is considered a mechanical vehicle belonging to the company "Meghri Transport and Logistics," with the license plate "CLG-856," he violated the traffic regulations, resulting in the collision with a six-year-old girl walking in the same direction and unintentionally causing her death.

Based on the sufficient evidence collected during the investigation, charges have been filed against the tractor driver under part 2 of Article 242 of the RA Criminal Code.

The investigation has concluded, and the criminal case has been sent to the supervising prosecutor with a request to confirm the accusatory conclusion and forward it to the court.
