Staphylococcus Detected Only in Chicken and Carrot Mixture at 'Tatev' Educational Complex, Reports Food Safety Authority
On November 23, the Armenian Food Safety Inspection Authority received reports via its hotline regarding intestinal infection symptoms—nausea and vomiting—observed in 10 students at the 'Tatev' Educational Complex. As a result, 4 children were hospitalized, the Food Safety Authority's division for information, consultation, and public outreach announced.
During the inspection at the educational complex, food samples were taken for laboratory analysis, including items from the current food supplies and the raw materials used in dishes. The laboratory results revealed a contamination (staphylococcus) only in the chicken, onion, and carrot mixture, while no discrepancies were found in the raw food products.
